Tributes paid after death of former Doncaster area guide dog co-ordinator

Tributes have been paid following the death of a former co-ordinator for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Gwendoline McChesney, known as Wendy, the former Doncaster area co-ordinator for Guide Dogs for the Blind, died on May 22 at the age of 80, an obituary said.From Armthorpe, she was described as ‘the beloved wife of the late Malcolm and a much-loved mam.

It added: “Wendy will be sadly missed by all who knew her.”

The funeral service and committal will take place at Rose Hill Crematorium on Monday 14 June at 2.40pm.

Flowers will be gratefully accepted but, if desired, donations may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind, a collection box will be available after the service.
