Time is running out to join Doncaster Olympic star Sarah Stevenson in her free online workout sessions.

The taekwondo bronze medallist and former world champion has been live streaming fitness sessions during the lockdown – but is now into the last two weeks of workouts.

The mum of two, who won bronze at the 2008 Olympics, has pledged to do her bit to keep the nation fit and active during the COVID-19 shutdown.

She is live streaming the sessions on Facebook and Instagram on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Monday session takes place at 7.30am, Wednesday at 6pm, Friday at 7.30am and Saturday at 9am.

She said: “As an Olympic athlete I have developed not just physical but emotional strength. It has shaped me to be the person I am today.

“Physical wellbeing is vital to your emotional wellbeing – an Olympic mindset will last you a lifetime and help you through even the darkest of life's challenges.”

Sarah, 36, who now lives in Liverpool, represented Britain at four Olympic Games, with her greatest success coming in 2008 in Beijing, when she became Britain’s first ever taekwondo medallist by taking bronze

She bravely took part in the 2012 Games in London after losing both her parents to cancer in the year ahead of the Olympics.

She read the athletes’ oath at the 2012 Games and was awarded an MBE the same year, announcing her retirement from the sport the following year.
