A popular Doncaster town centre cafe is on the hunt for acts to perform during a series of concerts to mark Pride week later this year.

The Jazz Cafe in Printing Office Street is looking for acts to take part in shows from August 1-7, which will mark Pride week in Doncaster.

The annual LGBTQIA+ festival has been changed this year because of coronavirus restrictions.

Instead of the normal large gathering in one place, venues across Doncaster are being urged to stage their own events throughout the week to celebrate Pride.

Announcing the search for acts on its Facebook page, a spokesman said: “So excited for Pride week.

"Activity every day – come see us at the Jazz. Any acts that want to take part contact us.”
