Amy-Leanne Stringfellow 26, was killed on June 5 last year in a savage attack at her partner Terence Papworth’s home. Papworth killed himself in prison before facing trial.

To mark the first anniversary, Amy’s mum Jacqui Fareham ran a half marathon from her daughter’s grave at Arksey Cemetery to The Newton pub in Sprotbrough where a large group of family and friends gathered to celebrate Amy’s life, donning yellow and purple as a tribute to the fomer soldier who served in Afghanistan.

People across Doncaster also lit candles to remember Amy.

And the family also used the anniversary to launch a petition calling for a change in the law so that people who take their own lives before facing trial can be found guilty after their death.
