While it might sound every woman’s dream, Lorna, 51, has told how the condition can make her aroused, even while cleaning or food shopping – or while driving over speed bumps.

Her condition – persistent genital arousal disorder - causes a painful throbbing which can only be reduced by an orgasm or waiting for the arousal to pass, the Daily Star reported.

She told the newspaper that the feeling is often set off without any sexual activity and even just thinking about her boyfriend Henry Snowden, 48, can trigger it.

She said: “It sounds a good condition to have but it is uncomfortable, exhausting and happens anywhere at any time.”

Describing the incident with the speed bump, Lorna, who runs a lunch delivery service, said: “I felt a pounding and bulging sensation below.

“It was lucky I didn’t crash as I was losing control of my body.

“When I got to the house I handed over the lunch with my legs crossed, ran to the car and quickly drove home.”

She added: “Once in a supermarket I had to grab shelves for support. People looked at me strangely.

“Another time my friend mentioned my boyfriend. I began panicking.

“I’d already started orgasming and so I ran inside a shop.”

Talking about her partner, she said: “Henry found it funny at first, but now we can’t kiss passionately as it sets me off.

“He counts down from three then says: ‘There she blows!’

"He stays on Wednesdays and Fridays and we have sex then – it’s a relief as the rest of the time it’s torture.

“On one hand I am sick of the condition, but when an orgasm is amazing I want to keep it!”

Lorna says on one occasion, the sensation lasted all day and when she went to her GP with her concerns, she was given epilepsy treatment which is thought to reduce the length of the attacks and ease nerve pain.
