As well as working full time at DRI, Chelsey is continuing to serve her clients by sending them home skin treatments and stick on nails.

“I’ve always balanced both jobs and I am doing now as well.

“Going to work is actually keeping me going - it’s the social aspect of being with the other nurses and doctors.

“But doing the beauty work lets me be creative and unwind from the demands of being a nurse.”

Chelsey is currently sending at-home skin peel kits to her clients for £10 which are delivered contactlessly.

“I’m lucky that I have my nursing job,” said the 31-year-old from Scawsby.

“Many people in the beauty industry are self-employed and are really struggling right now.

“I think it’s really important to be supporting local businesses at the minute - I know lots of NHS staff who have second jobs that they have had to give up at the moment.”

Despite everything, Chelsey is dealing with she is remaining incredibly optimistic and positive even though her dream wedding in Spain was planned to go ahead in May but due to the virus, it has been cancelled.

She said: “I’ve been really lucky compared to other people who haven’t been able to get any money back or don’t know what’s going on with their wedding.

“Our wedding has been moved to this time next year and all that we’re waiting on is flights and accommodation refunds.
