Doncaster's green spaces covered in litter and the people who are clearing it up

After restrictions have eased Doncaster’s parks and green spaces have sadly seen an increase in litter – but litter pickers have come to the rescue.

Click through this article to see parks covered in litter after people visited them in the good weather.

We asked our readers what they thought about the increase in rubbish.

Elliiee Dwyerr, said:”Nothing worse proper pet hate especially when people leave there mess at fast food places they wouldn’t do it home.

"Pure lazy shameful not hard to put it all in bag and dispose waste.”

Megan Louise Urwin, said: “Not hard to put rubbish in bin or even in a bag and take it home with you rather than leaving it for others to sort.”

Lisa Bolt, said: “I don't understand why people are so damn scruffy and lazy, they can't be bothered to use a bin.”

But it’s not all bad news – many litter pickers have headed to clean up the mess.
