Police discovered Will Connor, 40, deceased at his flat on Ashburton Close in Adwick le Street on 23 August after concerned neighbours alerted emergency services when they became concerned for his welfare.

His death is not being treated as suspicious. Will, who was father to a 12-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl, worked as a Big Issue vendor and had a pitch outside M&S on Baxter Gate.

His friend Andy Lynch, a charity volunteer from Doncaster who previously paid tribute to him, said the funeral will take place on Friday, 18 September at 10am.

The service at Rosehill crematorium will be invitation-only and limited to 30 people because of coronavirus restrictions. But anyone wishing to pay their respects will be allowed to gather in the grounds around the crematorium, while observing social distancing, Andy said.
