The note has been attached to a property on Thorne Road near to the town centre and has been spotted by hundreds of drivers and pedestrians.
The sign features the name of a person accused of flytipping, which the Free Press has chosen not to publish.
The placard in full reads: “****** ******** is fly tipping at this property.

It is not clear when the sign was attached to railings outside the property or how long it has been there.
However, it is clearly visible to drivers making their way into Doncaster city centre along Thorne Road.
You can report flytipping to Doncaster Council at its dedicated website HERE, where the authority warns flytippers can also face lengthy jail spells.
