Joshua James, who comes from Cantley, has been packaging up sandwiches, snacks, drinks and handwarmers – and has helped hand them out around Doncaster with the help of his mum and step-dad.

Now the proud pair have also set up a crowdfunding campaign so Joshua can continue to help some of Doncaster’s most needy people.

"He’s only six years old but has an absolute heart of gold and we’d like the whole of Doncaster to get behind him.

"When he’s older he’s said he wants to build a big house for the homeless so they can be warm and fed.”

Along with mum Alysha Jaques, Joshua has spend spending his spare time collecting crisps and cereal bars to put in the bags.

Added Bobby: “He chose the stuff that went in them and the only thing we assisted him with was the sandwiches. They were handed out on Saturday morning but will be doing them every Saturday.”

Joshua said: “I hate seeing people without homes and no money for food and I want to give them food, drink and clothes and things to help them as much as I can.

"When I’m older I want to build a big house for the homeless to have somewhere to stay and be fed.”
