Over the last few days, we’ve been asking you to cast your votes on which village you think deserves the title as Donny’s number one.

And after starting out with 64 places, we’re now down to the last four – and the winners of the semi-finals will go head to head in our grand final.

The quarter finals served up some nailbiting action, with scores of votes cast right down to the wire to determine the winners.

But there will be no repeat of last year’s final between Tickhill and Sprotbrough.

Tickhill emerged victorious in last year’s competition and we looked set for a repeat – but the pair will face each other in the semi-final this year, meaning there could be a new name on the trophy.

Kirk Sandall and Bessacarr will go head to head in the other semi, with the winners of each contest squaring up against each other in the final.

Our series of Twitter poll votes have now opened for the semi finals – and a place in the final.

And YOUR votes will decide on Doncaster’s top spot.

All you have to do is cast your votes on Twitter at @DarrenBurkeSYN and join in the fun using the hashtag #doncasterworldcup

And remember, it’s all just for fun!
