A Doncaster schoolgirl is raising cash for the NHS – by running up and down her street.

Emily Copeman, 12, who attends Cantley’s McAuley Catholic High School, decided to do her bit for the NHS by pulling on her trainers.

Mum Lisa said: “Emily wanted to do something positive to help in these unprecedented times.

“Her goal was £200 but she has raised £425 and has run over 20 miles and is still trying to achieve more.

“On the first day she fell and had quite a nasty cut but that didn't stop her.”

Emily said: “After sitting at home, I've felt helpless and I have kept asking myself what I could do to help in such awful times.

“I came up with an idea to run, skate and walk up and down both sides of my street.“
