Doncaster reality TV star and model welcomes baby boy by sharing sweet snap
A Doncaster reality TV star and model has welcomed the arrival of her new baby boy – by sharing a sweet snap of the tot.
Elena Tsikkini, who has appeared on a string of TV shows, took to Facebook to announce the arrival of bouncing baby boy Haris Costa Tsikkini.
The tot arrived on Tuesday, weighing in at 6lb 14oz.
Sharing her joy on social media, Elena wrote: “Welcome to the world baby!
“Absolutely overwhelmed with all the well wishes and blessings, I’m going to sit and read through every single one!
"Can’t believe all the love Haris has around him. Thanks so much.”
Elena and husband Kyri announced last October they were expecting their first baby.
The 29-year-old, who lives in Hatfield, first shot to fame after winning the title of Miss British Beauty Curve, a glamour contest for plus size models seven years ago.
Back then she said: “Holding the secret for three months before announcing it was the hardest longest secret we ever had to keep.”
Elena said the new baby will be the first grandchild for both sets of parents and added: "The only downside is that due to Covid I had to attend the scan by myself which I was gutted about.
“But we still found the positive and happiness out of 2020 being such a terrible year for many.”
The pair tied the knot in 2018 in front of nearly 700 guests in a traditional Greek wedding ceremony after Kyri, full name Kyriacos, staged a dramatic flash mob wedding proposal at a Yorkshire airport.
The couple met after Elena failed to find love on ITV dating show Take Me Out.
The model, who has also appeared on Coach Trip and quiz show Catchphrase, was swept off her feet when Kyri, 33, proposed to her in front of hundreds of passengers at Leeds Bradford Airport after a romantic break in Paris.
She first hit the headlines in 2013 when she won the Miss British Beauty Curve title.
Working at the time at Harry's, her parents' fish and chip in Dunsville, it earned her the title Miss Fish and Hips.
Greek Cypriot Elena, a former Campsmount School pupil also had a well publicised Twitter spat with business mogul Lord Sugar who faced criticism after be branded her 'fatty' in a tweet.
