Doncaster Stand Up To Racism is spearheading the drive, with a coach planned to travel from Doncaster to the capital for the March 21 demonstration.

It comes after a flight last week which saw 50 people deported to Jamaica.

A group spokesman said: “Following the deportations of British nationals last week, it is more vital than ever that we push back against these racist actions and Boris Johnson’s racist government.

“There needs to be greater resistance to any deportations proposed in future, plus an insistence of repatriation of those who have already been deported.

“Make no mistake - these actions are making good on a promise by the far-right racists and fascists to ‘go back where you came from’.

“The fact that those deported come from the UK, and many have lived here since childhood, makes no difference to Johnson’s racist establishment and the racists and fascists who support him. We need to act now.

People in our communities are being coded as ‘undesirables’. If the government is successful in continuing to carry out such measures there is no doubt that in our local communities we will see yet more attacks and deportations of young black people.”

A Doncaster meeting for all those concerned about the deportations and what the future holds for those threatened in Doncaster and the surrounding areas is also being planned.
