Doncaster drag bar's cheeky note to customers as it shuts for lockdown

A Doncaster town centre drag bar has announced its lockdown closure with a funny and cheeky note for its customers.

The Gallery in Silver Street, like the rest of England’s pubs and clubs, will be shut until December 2 under the second national lockdown, aimed at stemming rising coronavirus rates across the country.

But bosses at the pub didn’t miss the chance for a funny farewell with this amusing note on the door to raise a smile or two among passing shoppers.

The handwritten sign, penned on a sheet of A4, says ‘no cash, alcohol or drag queens have been left on the premises.’

The club, which first opened its doors in October last year, has rapidly established itself on Doncaster’s night life scene with dozens of guests glamming up and dressing to impress at the bar which encourages customers to dress outrageously and stages regularly drag queen and cabaret nights.
