Daisy Watt from Misson has been painting since she was just six-years-old.
She became interested in making her own art when two of her grandparents were diagnosed with cancer.

“Thinking she would do a standard six year old type of painting but she managed to raise £23,500 by selling it both in its original form and in prints.”
The art piece was made up of flowers that tell the tale of cancer.

Then she drew thriving daffodils to show those who have won their battles with cancer - one such person being her grandmother.
After the success of this painting Daisy has continued to make art work to fundraise for Equinox, Firefly and World Wildlife Fund.
“Daisy has always had a lot of empathy,” Karen continued.
“If any kids get into fights, she’s the one to break them up.

Daisy has no plans of slowing down her fundraising.
During the lockdown she painted a rainbow for the NHS Nightingale which was turned into magnets and cards.
She managed to raise £1700.
Karen said: “We’re really proud of what she has achieved and we hope that she will be an inspiration to others.
“She’s got great confidence when it comes to trying new techniques and seeing her develop as she matures has been wonderful.”

Hide AdKaren says she thinks Daisy has become so artistic because she herself has a talent for art and so painting supplies have always been readily available in their home.
