Doncaster care home throws cocktail party for their residents to bring them joy after a hard 18 months

Residents and staff at a Doncaster care home got dressed up for an exciting cocktail afternoon which lifted everyone’s spirits.

The Rowena House care home in Conisbrough had a jolly old time on June 9 when they threw a cocktail afternoon party for their residents.

Stacey Dean, Home Manager, said: “We wanted to lift spirits after a hard year.

"We had a Covid-19 outbreak back in February which meant that we had to close for a few months.”

The cocktail afternoon did the trick as Stacey said that both residents and staff had a great time.

"It was a really good afternoon – the sun was out and we had a band playing,” she continued.

"There was dancing and laughter.

"It felt like we finally got a bit of normality back.

"I want to give a huge shout out to all the staff here at Rowena House for their incredible work during the pandemic.”
