A Doncaster motorbike park owner is hunting for volunteers to help create a nature reserve.

Eddie Todd, owner of Uncle Eddie’s bike park at Carcroft, is setting up a riverside walkway alongside his track, which is now back in business following the easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

He says the reserve will be open to the public – but they must be members of the club.

He said: “The nature reserve walkway will be developed and we will soon have our rehabilitation pool.

“We are now looking for volunteers to help plant flowers, bushes and fruit trees.”

Mr Todd says he has bought seeds and plants to help rejuvenate the area alongside Bentley Moor Lane at Carcroft which has become a popular spot for motorbikers in recent years.

He says the park is employing social distancing rules for all competitors with coronavirus precaution measures in place.
