Coronavirus: Someone in Sheffield is selling a toilet roll for £2 on Facebook Marketplace

Panic buying of toilet rolls has gripped the country during the coronavirus outbreak – but it seems one savvy Facebook user in Sheffield has found a way to make a few quid.

And that’s because they’re selling a, ahem, bog standard loo roll on the social media site – for just £2.

The seller, who is simply listed as being from Sheffield, has put the roll up for sale on Facebook’s Marketplace, writing: “1 x luxurious toilet roll.

“3 ply with floral scent. Great for use after number 2s or even number 1s.

The post adds: “Can also be used to wipe away tears.”

Although some users might shy away from its condition which is described as “used – like new.”

But it could be yours – all just for a couple of quid.
