A car ended up on its roof after an incident in a Doncaster woodland lane.

Details of the incident in Woodlands yesterday are sketchy but according to social media, the vehicle ended up upside down after swerving to avoid a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

The vehicle was apparently being driven along an unmade lane leading to the allotments behind the park in the mining village.

Kenny Dudley wrote on the Adwick-Woodlands-Highfields and surrounding areas Facebook page: “The sickening thing is people walk their dogs and children along these paths.”

Ashley Mulligan wrote: “Same goes with motorcycles - the woods and tracks are for walkers, cyclists. Someone will be seriously hurt or even killed if nothing’s done about cars and motorbikes.”

South Yorkshire Police are thought to be looking for the culprits.
