Big hearted Doncaster hospital staff nursing injured bird back to health
They are more used to treating people – but big hearted staff at a Doncaster hospital are also nursing a feathered friend back to health.
Staff at Mexborough’s Montagu Hospital have been tending to a bird with a broken wing – caring for the little animal by placing him in a box and keeping him fed and watered.
A spokesman for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “We’ve had a very special patient with us at Montagu Hospital today.
"The poor guy has a broken wing so has been getting a little bit of TLC while he recovers and has now been taken to a temporary home.
