March 29 is the next key date in the government’s roadmap out of lockdown – with outdoor sport allowed to resume.

And that means golf, cycling, swimming and outdoor coaching are among some of the activities that can resume.

A spokesman said: “For DCLT customers this means that we can welcome you back to Crookhill Park Golf Course, Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre – for open water swimming, the Cycle Track at The Dome – for organised group cycling, and our outdoor pitches, for organised coaching sessions, at Adwick Leisure Complex and Dearne Valley Leisure Centre from Monday.”

Crookhill Park Golf Course will be able to re-open.

Customers will be able to book a round of golf, 4 balls, with 10-minute gaps between tee times for safety.

Outdoor pitches at Adwick and Dearne Valley will be available for organised activities, open water swimming sessions can be booked via Swim your Swim and the Cycle Track at the Dome will see organised activity return.

Social distancing and other safety measures will remain in place.

The spokesman added: “We all want to see the next step of the restrictions lifted in April and hope to be able to reopen our leisure facilities, but we all have a part to play in reducing the spread of the virus.”

This means that:

All visits will require advanced booking through the DCLT website

All sessions will have reduced capacities to enable social distancing to be maintained

The statement added: “We hope to be able to reopen our leisure venues in April and are waiting for the announcement from the government to confirm that this can happen from April 12.

“As soon as this has been confirmed we will provide details of the venues and activities that we will be able reopen and the measures that we will have put in place for our staff and customer safety.

“We are looking forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can in a safe and socially distanced way.”

More restrictions are set to be lifted on April 12, when non essential shops and beauty services can re-open.
