Cyclists are being urged to take part in a 65 or 100 mile charity cycling sportive to help raise money for Doncaster’s Hospice Appeal.
The annual St John’s Hospice Appeal Cycle Sportive will be staged on July 5 – and keen cyclists can not only enjoy a tour of Doncaster but also have their ride timed.
This year’s event has been organised by keen cyclist Les Monks and the event is aimed at keen and leisure cyclists looking for a challenge. There’s the choice of two routes and both will start at St Catherine’s House in Woodfield Park, Balby, Doncaster.
Organiser Les said: “I’m really looking forward to the event. Last year’s cycle sportive raised over £4,000 for the Hospice Appeal and we’re hoping to top that amount this year. Riding in last year’s event was a real treat. Are you a cyclist? Please come and enjoy the challenge and at the same time help raise money to support people with life limiting illnesses.”
