Staff and volunteers at the Walled Garden in Balby are busy preparing for an open day on Sunday, July 8.
The garden centre is part of Flourish Enterprises, which operates as a social enterprise within Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, providing vocational opportunities and therapeutic support for people recovering from mental health problems or who have learning disabilities.
On 8 July, visitors will be able to pop along between 11am and 4pm to choose from a colourful array of flowers, plants and accessories, including summer hanging baskets and tubs, perennials, herbs, climbers, trees, compost and bark chippings.
They will also have the opportunity to enjoy attractions including a bouncy castle, tombola, cream teas and more. Drinks and snacks will be available at the Trust’s Garden Café.
Located behind St Catherine’s House, off Tickhill Road, Balby, the Walled Garden has free parking and is open to the public on Mondays 10am to 4pm,Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am to 4pm Fridays 9am to 3pm
