Askern Music Festival, which was scrapped last summer because of the pandemic, will take place on July 10, organisers have said.

The festival at Askern Cricket Club will feature performances from Brit rockers Feeder, indie favourites The Coral and dance rockers Republica, who were all due to appear on last year’s bill.

A spokesman said: “Who has seen the PM’s announcement? All restrictions lifted by June 21. That can mean only one thing…Askern 2021!

“Lots to do, but be sure we’re going to make this one hell of a party.”

The line up will also include Doncaster’s Bang Bang Romeo, The Seahorses’ Chris Helme, Nigel Clark of Dodgy and Mark Morriss of The Bluetones.
