Old pub could be food outlet

Vintage Isle of Axholme pub the Lincolnshire Arms could become a retail and food hub.

A planning application for change of use of the disused tavern in High Street, Luddington, has been placed with North Lincolnshire Council.

Under the plans the premises would have a 66sq metre shop area and a takeaway half that size.

Owston Ferry businessman Tahir Mehbub is applying for the changes.

It is understood that if the planning application was approved it would create four full-time and two part-time jobs.

The Lincolnshire Arms was the village’s last remaining pub which closed in 2009.
