Three new Subway Stores in Doncaster as restaurant chain expands

Sandwich franchise giant Subway has announced three new stores will open in Doncaster in the New Year.

In January and February 2014 three new stores will be opening in Doncaster, at Baxtergate, Dunsville and at Lakeside. There will also be two new Sheffield stores at Markham Vale (off the M1 at Junction 29a) and Commercial Street.

Having opened 14 stores since taking over last year as Development Agents for the region, husband and wife team, Rachana and Kiran Pancholi are on course to open a further 35 stores by 2017, creating over 400 new jobs across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

They have a further 2 stores set to open before the end of the year, creating 32 new jobs before Christmas. The new stores will be located at Chesterfield Road, Woodseats in Sheffield and Woodall Service Station on the M1.

The Subway Development Agents for South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, have today announced that the SUBWAY® brand is established as the largest QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) brand in the region ahead of McDonald’s. This follows recent store openings at the Kingsway Retail Park in Derby and Barnsley Trade Park, the 45th store in the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire territory. The new Barnsley store takes the total to 31 SUBWAY® stores in South Yorkshire and 14 in Derbyshire.

Later in 2014, further store openings are planned across Yorkshire in Rotherham and Doncaster. In Derbyshire, new stores are set to open in Langley Mill, Glossop, Chesterfield, Ashbourne, Derby and Bakewell.
