Mexborough hospital to get revamp in £23 million improvement plan

Mexborugh Montagu Hospital will benefit from a major refurbishment programme announced by hospital bosses.

Officials who run Mexborough Montagu, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital, have agreed to spend £23 million.

A string of improvements will be carried out to waiting rooms at Montagu and there will be an increase in the number of beds. Other projects will include computer systems developments.

Managers are also pledging to announce more plans for the development of the DRI by the end of the year.

Bosses say the investment will ensure patients benefit from modern facilities.
