Candles have been leading lights of Christmas commemorations for centuries past.
Worldwide Candle Lighting Day witnessed a global celebration of eternal flame solidarity and memory for lost loved ones (here soundtracked by 1997 Princess Diana Funeral Goodbye England's Rose reworking of Sir Elton John's classic Candle In The Wind).
