Doncaster Council's planning committee rejected a plan to build a wind turbine at Norton

Inappropriate development in the borough’s green belt, visual impact and excess noise were some of the concerns the committee took into account when knocking back the Origin Energy project.

Four parish councils in the area raised objections to the turbine near Greengate Road at Norton.

Norton Parish Council, Askern Town Council, Burghwallis Parish Council and Kirk Smeaton Parish Council objected.
