Councillor Liz Redfern, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “I am really looking forward to the first ever Scunthorpe Activity Day. It will provide a massive variety of activities for all the family to get involved in. Scunthorpe town centre is a fantastic place with huge prospects and the Activity Day is a wonderful way of highlighting what a great place it is. We’re making the most of the entire town centre with something happening on every corner. It is set to be a brilliant day with lots to see and do. Whether you just want to enjoy the music being played by local radio station Viking FM or take a look at classic cars - there is something for everyone. It is definitely not to be missed with lots of fun from start to finish.”

We are always doing all we can to further the Centre’s role in the community and to offer more to the people of Scunthorpe. Being in the centre of the town, we’re in prime position to be at the heart of the events on the day. We’ve got lots planned, including special visitors from the York Bird of Prey Centre flying in to see shoppers! I can’t wait to see people around the town enjoying themselves.”

Linda Blow, Centre Manager at The Parishes Shopping Centre, said: “We are all really looking forward to the Activity Day on Saturday 5 September and it is set to be a fantastic day for all local shoppers.
