The clip shows a group of nine female ‘officers’, drinking, partying and fooling around in front of the camera at a house, understood to be in Rotherham or Sheffield, earlier this year.

Under the current coronavirus restrictions, which are due to be lifted next Monday, it is illegal for people from different households to mix indoors.

One of the captions on the clip, shared on Snapchat, reads “Covid who” while another reads ‘ready for a drink of 100.’ A third shows the group licking each other’s faces with the caption ‘love a good lick.’

Dressed in evening party wear, the women are also seen eating Pringles snacks and gathered around a table, laden with a number of drinks and ignoring social distancing rules while fooling around with their mobile phones.

We have seen a list of the names of the nine officers said to feature in the clips and photos and who are understood to be based across South Yorkshire, with some reportedly posted at Doncaster’s College Road police station.

The film is understood to have been filmed at a house on April 1 this year.

The person who shared the footage with the Free Press and who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "These are all serving officers for South Yorkshire Police I have had family affected by Covid and for the blatant disregard with the statement of ‘Covid who’ makes me angry.

"As you can see there are nine officers inside a house which is illegal due to COVID restrictions.”

South Yorkshire Police have not confirmed if any of those picture in the clip are serving officers but have said an investigation is now underway.

From next Monday, as Covid restrictions are eased, six people or two households can meet indoors.
