For the next month Doncaster town centre will be home to a talking bin as part of the Love Where You Live campaign.

This is the first time there has been a talking bin in the borough.

Situated on St Sepulchre Gate, the bin looks just like an ordinary one but has a surprise in store - it talks back! The bin has a Barry White-style deep voice in keeping with Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Love Month’ theme for February.

Councillor Cynthia Ransome, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “These bins are a good way to get people thinking about their personal responsibility to dispose of litter properly.

“Across the borough local people and businesses are embracing the Love Where you Live campaign and taking direct action to help the local environment.”
