PEOPLE in the Isle who have shoulder and elbow problems could be seen by a new surgeon in future.

Grant Bayne, a new consultant orthopaedic surgeon, will be providing services at the hospital in Scunthorpe and also at Goole.

As well as routine orthopaedic and trauma work, Mr Bayne specialises in shoulder replacements and elbows, and keyhole surgical techniques.

He said: “People often take for granted the use of their arms until they experience a problem and then they realise how vital these limbs are. Surgery can make a massive difference to people’s lives. It can give them a new lease of life.”
