New mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones has unveiled an all-Labour cabinet - in a break from the mixed party cabinets of her predecessor.
The nine-strong team will meet for the first time on May 22. Outgoing mayor Peter Davies’s cabinet was made up of a cross section of political parties.
But the new cabinet will be 100% Labour and she said: “I have assembled a very strong cabinet which will help drive Doncaster forward. Each Cabinet member brings important qualities and talents to the team, is passionate and fully committed to doing what is best for Doncaster residents.
The full cabinet is Ros Jones (mayor, finance and corporate services, John McHale (deputy mayor, neighbourhoods, community safety, culture, leisure), Glyn Jones (housing, equalities, cohesion), Chris Mills (environment and waste), Tony Corden (children’s safeguarding and services to families), Nuala Fennelly (education and skills), Bob Johnson (regeneration and growth, tourism and veteran’s champion), Bill Mordue (highways), Joe Blackham (enforcement and trading services), Pat Knight (health and adult social care).
