Doncaster Council is launching a new information centre to provide support to residents on the Autistic spectrum.
The Autism Spectrum Information Centre will be based in St James Court close to the town centre and will offer appointments for free weekly advice sessions following a rolling programme of topics including benefits, education, training, employment, housing and socialisation.
The new service, which sees Doncaster Council working in partnership with a range of local organisations including Doncaster College, DIAL and JobSteps to provide support, is being launched with two drop-in taster events.
The first event starts tomorrow, with a second drop-in event on the afternoon of May 16. Both sessions will give residents a chance to find out more about the support available at the information centre and to book appointments for the advice sessions which will start from Monday 21st May.
