Police are re-appealing for witnesses to a motorway collision which left a 56-year-old man seriously ill in hospital.
The incident happened just before 12.10am on Monday on the A1M southbound between junctions 36 and 35, near Warmsworth.
A white Mercedes LGV was travelling in lane one when it was in collision with a blue Honda CRV travelling in lane two. A red Seat Leon then collided with the Honda after it had come to rest.
The man who had been driving the Honda, who is from Retford, suffered chest and head injuries and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where his condition is said to be `serious but stable’.
The other person hurt was the Seat driver, a 30-year-old man from Great Ayton, Middlesborough. He sustained minor back injuries and was taken to the DRI but not detained.
