Neighbours TV star gives thumbs-up to Doncaster hall

A star of Aussie TV soap Neighbours has given the thumbs-up to a Doncaster restaurant and wedding venue.

Actor Alan Fletcher, best known for his role as Karl Kennedy in long-running soap opera Neighbours, paid a visit to historic Rossington Hall earlier this week and was quick to sing its praises on social media.

After meeting with the hall's events organiser Lucy Batchelor, he tweeted: "Great catchup with @LucyBurke today at the spectacular @RossingtonHall.This is the place to stay and get married!"

He also tweeted pictures of the hall following his visit.

The pair have worked together on several occasions in the past and the star has made a number of visits to Doncaster over the years with Lucy helping to organise concerts by Fletcher and his band.

The character has been in the soap since 1994 and Fletcher is one of the longest serving cast members

Rossington Hall has recently been restored to its former glory and is now a popular wedding venue as well as restaurant and functions suite.
