The former Hallam and Worksop Town boss was unveiled as Duncan Milligan's successor last week and takes charge of his first game at FC Bolsover on Saturday.

Rossington have just four points to their name from seven games and sit 17th in Division One.

'I want to go in and get the smiles back on the fans' faces,' said Hindley.

'It's a sleeping giant that has been in this division since 1991 and has never finished higher than seventh.

'It has a fantastic fan base and probably the best playing surface in this league and I'm excited by where I believe this club is capable of going.

'I'm a tough manager and I do demand a lot from the players,' he added.

'Those I bring in know how I work and will have to hit the ground running to get us out of this situation we're in at the moment.

'We're looking to build something here.

'I want players that are proud to wear the badge and represent the club.

'I can't see any reason why next season we're not up their pushing for promotion.'

Hindley wasted no time in strengthening his squad, notably adding former Worksop striker Jordan Turner from Handsworth Parramore.

Craig Mitchell, Robert Ludlam, Joe Hayden and Shawn Mitchell have also arrived at Oxford Street.

Hindley is joined in the dugout by assistant manager Stuart Lowe and player coach Tom Nolan.

The new boss took charge of training last week but due to a prior commitment was not in attendance at Winterton Rangers at the weekend to see Main bow out of the FA Vase.

Rangers had thumped Rossington 8-1 the previous weekend but a much-changed side went down 2-0 following an improved display.

Maltby Main also went out of the FA Vase as they lost 2-0 at NWCL Premier Division side Northwich Victoria.

Meanwhile, Harworth Colliery return to action this weekend when they make the short trip to Hallam in search of a first away win in six games in league and cup.
