Motorways through South Yorkshire to be closed due to roadworks

Motorists have been warned to expect delays with motorways and slip roads in South Yorkshire closed overnight.

The M18 southbound to the M1 northbound link will be fully closed overnight on Friday, July 6 for carriageway repairs.

The northbound exit slip of junction 32 of the M1 for Thurcroft road will be closed on Monday, July 2 and then again on Thursday 5 July for technology repairs.

The northbound slip road at junction 34 for Meadowhall will be closed overnight on Wednesday, July 4 for technology repairs.

The northbound exit slip road of junction 35 of the A1(M) will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday, July 2 for barrier work.

The northbound carriageway of the A1 between Redhouse and Barnsdale Bar will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Saturday, July 7 for power cable work.

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for two nights from Saturday, July 7 from Barnsdale to New Close Lane.

The southbound exit and entry slip roads at Barnsdale Bar will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday, July 2 for inspections.

All closures will be in place from 8pm until 6am and clearly signed diversions will be in place.
