Motorist seriously injured after crashing into fence in Doncaster

A motorist was seriously injured after crashing into a fence in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police said the 19-year-old man suffered ‘possibly life altering injuries’ in the collision in Clifton Hill, Conisbrough, on Saturday night.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are asking if you have any information that could assist with an investigation into a collision in the Conisbrough area of Doncaster on Saturday night.

“At about 11.45pm, a red Volkswagen Polo is said to have been driving up Clifton Hill away from Conisbrough, when the car has left the road and collided with a fence.

“A 19-year-old man who was driving the car was taken to hospital with serious and possibly life altering injuries. He currently remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“Officers investigating are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw the car prior to the incident to contact police.”
