PLANS are in place to give residents more information about the mayoral referendum.
Voters will have the chance to decide on if they want Doncaster Council to continue with a mayor and cabinet on May 3.
Arrangements are being made regarding polling stations and 12,500 out of an initial 16,500 postal requests have already been issued. Voters who did not respond will be sent a reminder.
Doncaster Council’s elections and democratic structures committee was told in a meeting this week that plans were in place to offer people more information about the vote through leaflets.
Voters will also be able to telephone the authority or log on to its website at www.doncaster.gov.uk.
