Miss Britain winner Kirsty Duffield set for world stage

And now she’s planning success on the global stage - but is appealing for sponsors to help her realise her dream.

Kirsty, from Edlington, will represent Great Britain at the IBFA World Championship in Rome in October after becoming IBFA Miss Athletic at the British Championships.

The 34-year-old will also compete at the NABBA Universe Championship in Birmingham in November.

“This year has been amazing for me achievement-wise as I have won the title of PCA UK, NABBA North East champion, Miss Manchester and now IBFA Miss Britain,” said Kirsty, who is also the reigning Miss Doncaster Toned Figure.

“All of those wins are in the athletic figure category which is a category that takes time, willpower and dedication to achieve the correct look.

“I would now love the opportunity to work with new sponsors who could help me pursue my dream of being world champion while representing the UK in Italy.”

Bodybuilding, Kirsty says, has been pivotal to turning around her life.

“I started my competing journey in 2016 with little knowledge of the bodybuilding industry but a passion to try and determination to get on stage,” she said.

“I’ve been in a dark, mental place where I have been over weight.

“Fitness became my new focus and it helped me feel better about myself.

“This then led me to change direction in my career as a tutor and assessor and I now train apprentices in personal training which for me personally is so rewarding as I get to see others grow and inspire them to change into budding PTs.

“My coach Neve Lockin brought me to stage in September 2017 with IBFA and I won ladies’ toned figure, ladies overall and then Doncaster Central NABBA toned figure before moving up to athletic figure.”
