Students had the chance to quiz former Labour leader Ed Miliband when he called in to their school.
A-level students at the Don Valley Academy put the Doncaster North MP on the spot during a lengthy question and answer session.
They also asked his views on engaging more young people in politics, his priorities for Doncaster – and his favourite Doctor Who.
Mr Miliband said: “I faced questions worthy of a parliamentary debate. The students were engaging and interested in the political situation nationally and here in Doncaster.”
The Doncaster North MP was given a tour of the foundations of the school’s new building, which is currently under construction and due for completion in 2016, by academy principal Karen Squire.
Mr Miliband added: “I enjoyed the visit a great deal, and look forward to returning to visit the school’s new building.”
He confessed that Tom Baker had been his favourite timelord.
