A man suffered serious facial injuries in an attack at a club in Doncaster town centre.

The 37-year-old man was initially assaulted by a group of men inside Flares on Hall Gate at 11.35pm om Thursday June 28.

As he left the club he was attacked again by the group and was left with serious facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Officers investigating the incident have issued CCTV images of two men who they believe could hold vital information.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in Flares or the Hall Gate area of Doncaster that evening.

"It is understood that the town centre was relatively busy that night, as it followed England’s World Cup match against Belgium.

"Were you in the area? Did you witness the assault?"
