Man left with serious injuries after hit-and-run outside Doncaster pub

A man who was seriously injured after a suspected hit-and-run outside a Doncaster pub, has sparked a police investigation.

Police have said that initial enquiries suggest that a 54-year-old man was hit by a car but no vehicle stopped.

The incident happened outside the Broadway pub in Sheep Dip Lane, near to the junction with Broadway, Dunscroft at 10.50pm last night.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “At this time, the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries remain unclear but CCTV footage shows that there were several vehicles in the area at the time.

“You could hold information that could help officers investigate how a 54-year-old man came to be seriously injured following an incident in Dunscroft.

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the man prior to the collision or who may have witnessed something that could help the investigation.
