Man injured in four vehicle collision in North Lincolnshire


A 27-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision on the A1077 Sluice Road in South Ferriby, North Lincolnshire.

The man was driving a black VW Golf out of South Ferriby in the direction of Winterton at approximately 4.45pm on Easter Sunday - March 27.

A grey Ford Mondeo was waiting to turn right into the Hope and Anchor public house when the Golf approached from behind and was in collision with the Mondeo. A second collision then occurred between the Golf and a red Seat Ibiza followed by a collision between the Golf and a white Mercedes Sprinter van.

The Golf then left the road and came to rest on a verge. The driver was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary suffering multiple injuries described as serious but not life threatening.

None of the other drivers were injured.

The road was closed to allow examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles. It re-opened at about 10pm.
