A man has been arrested after his car crashed into a house on a main road in Sheffield.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man following the crash on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield on the junction between Marden Road and Sheldon Road.

At around 10.45pm on April 3, emergency services were called after a silver Volkswagen Golf hit a white Seat Leon. The Golf then hit the house, taking down part of the wall.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, possession of cannabis and burglary. South Yorkshire Police said he remains in custody.
