Man armed with knife arrested after Sheffield city centre attack

Police were called on Thursday evening to reports of a man, armed with a knife, attacking his victim on Arundel Gate.

The man then fled from the scene following the altercation, leaving his victim with minor injuries.

Officers worked through the evening, examining CCTV footage, in an attempt to locate the suspect/

The man was eventually spotted later that evening with officers quickly detaining and arresting him.

Police said the man is currently in police custody and enquiries are ongoing.
