Thorne Road between Clay Lane and Edenthorpe has been closed on and off since June 2019, leading to anger and delays for motorists after engineering issues causes lengthy delays to the installation of a new bridge over the carriageway.

But the new bridge is now in place and the road has re-opened ahead of schedule.
